God damn umbrellas. Well not really, God damn idiots w/ umbrellas.
The other day it was raining (no surprise there), I was on my way to a morning lecture and, as usual, I was running late. This means that I needed to hurry.
However, I hadn't reckoned on two factors:
1) EVERYONE in Loughborough except me owns an umbrella.
2) EVERYONE with an umbrella in Loughborough is retarded.
You'd get some people walking in the middle of the pavement with a massive canopy that absolutely blocked the entire pavement.
You'd get other people with smaller umbrellas though, of course they usually came in pairs and walked side by side. Retards.
Oh yeah, and has anyone ever noticed how umbrellas all have razor sharp tips on all of the metal struts? Another observation I made was that no matter how tall or short you are, these razor sharp tips are ALWAYS at eye height.
I hate umbrella's. I hate people with umbrella's. If you own an umbrella you're a twat.
Let me start by saying that I will not get my PC this weekend, however I will get it on Monday evening! YES!
I have many expensive upgrades to perform and it will be absolutely fucking amazing.
One small point though is that my score on 3DMark03 seems a little low at 11,777, I say it's low becuase I've seen systems with only a 6800 GT that can get 12,700+ (1000 more than me)!!!
If you know why this might be then please let me know, because although I have a kick-ass PC, it's not as kick-ass as it could be.
One of the PC's was a Pentium 4 (not sure about the clock speed) with PCIx and the other was an AMD64 FX-53 with normal AGP 8x.
If it's the PCIx or 64bit CPU that's letting them get ahead of me then I can live with that, the 64bit CPU's are frighteningly expensive and PCIx would mean buying a Pentium system (which I'm not about to go and do).
On a non-hardware note, Paul smells.
OK, so yesterday was the day when I got my chance to sign up to any clubs that I wanted to at Uni. Of course I headed straight over to the computer club table and got me thoroughly joined.
Then I headed over to the flying club, I didn't have enough moneys on me to pay cash so I asked if I could do it by card. They said "sure, just go over to the till over there and pay." So I did, except that the retards didn't have anywhere to swipe the goddamn card. Retards.
So anyway, after not joining the flying club I headed down to the athletics union to join up for badminton. Which was full. And so was the reserve list.
I was told to try and join in a few weeks when the wankers who thought it would be fun to "join for the hell of it" have left.
Hmm, at least I got into the computer club and I'll have the shit-hottest PC there (or at least I will have by next weekend when it finally gets here).
Did I mention I will have liquid cooling? Hehehe, oh yeah, I bought me a Coolermaster Aquagate, it's gonna be so sweet.
Unfortunately I'm gonna have to ditch my Coolermaster Musketeer to fit the Aquagate in (takes two 5.25" drive bays). Anyone want it (for the nominal fee of £10)?
So, the first week of Uni has passed and all has gone well(ish), I have only missed two lectures so far, one because I couldn't find it and the other because I didn't know about it, (we have very fucked up retarded time-tables).
As it turns out the one I missed just happened to be quite an imprtant test (sod's law) and the other one I missed turned out to be a bag o' shite so I'm not even vaguely concerned about it.
Right I'm off to university tomorrow, so I won't be online for quite a long time, since I'm not taking my PC. So best of luck to everyone going to uni this time.
