Quite Rude

Yes it's true. I'm returning home again. Hopefully these are the good things that will all turn out nicely over the next couple of days:

  • My mobo will arrive at my house early(ish) tomorrow morning.
  • I will attend and do well in a Matlab programming test from 2-3PM (pfft, Matlab is so easy).
  • I will catch the 15:55 train to Nuneaton and then onto Manchester.
  • I will awake on Saturday (morning?) to go and see a film with Byroz which we will have planned in advance (since he doesn't know I'm returning home yet it is yet to be planned and will most likely fall through).

Here are some good things that have already happened:

  • My water cooling kit arrived today (just in the nick of time Smile) and it looks totally schweet. Had to bend a few drive rails out of the way to fit it in my case (takes up 2 5.25" drive bays) but I care little about that. Grin
  • I have ordered NFSU, NFSU 2 and Juiced all for PC from Amazon, expensive but worth it I think. "Why order the original NFSU" you ask? My answer to you, "meh".
  • I'm getting better at engineering drawing and free hand sketching, I can now draw aeroplanes, helicopters and cars! This is good because I used to suck at drawing these things, since I'm on an Aero course that was a bit of a disadvantage.
  • I have discovered Yahoo Launch radio and have created my own station, I can also watch 300Kbit/s music vid's as well. Only works in IE but I can live with that I suppose. The music is sooo cool because it picks out songs based on how I rated their genre's so I generally like them all. Grin
  • My LCD monitor cable has been fixed by someone of the name "Soldering Iron", oh yeah some other guy called "Jonathon Clarke" helped aswell I think. Grin
  • My graphics card could kick your graphics cards arse. Grin

That's about it for now, I might add more stuff to the list if I feel that you are not quite 100% envious of my life. Grin

I for one am not 100% envious of your life, however i do agree with the proposed idea for a film, may take some work 2 organise, but fingers crossed.

For thoes of you wondering why he's orderd the original NFSU, its because when it came out last year he was to much of a tight fisted... to buy a real version of the game so he got a not so legal one instead Grin

Good luck on your Matlab exam ...you should just be able to get out of bed intime for it Cheeky

Hey, well all of the stuff on that list happened (except that I got a slightly later train).

I've pieced all of my computer together now and I am currently formatting my new Seagate Barracuda 160Gb 7200rpm SATA HDD. The cables inside the case have been tidied away brilliantly even if I do say so myself. Grin

The liquid cooling unit is doing a good job, there are no leaks and my CPU is running at 100% and 46 degrees C. The fan can run at three speeds (2800/3800/4600 rpm), 2800 doesn't keep the temp low enough, 4600 is just too loud (49dB), 3800 is pretty much just right. Grin
Of course, when I go out or when I'm playing games I'll ramp it up to 4600 to look after my hardware. Grin

Unfortunately my wireless keyboard was playing silly buggers and not working. Therefore after much fiddling and changing of batteries, I'll have a new keyboard and mouse on Thursday. Grin

Oh yeah, I stole someone elses keyboard in the mean time. They weren't doing anything with it anyway. Cheeky

No, i was trying to do coursework, but Dave showed me pictures of his leather S&M dungeon & that made me co-operate.
Obviously i now have it back & am happily typin' out a load of blag 'n waffle for e-business.

Yeah, but less than an hour later I got a new keyboard, and tomorrow morning I'll have yet another keyboard.

This one's a loaner from someone who has a few spare. It's an old keyboard but it's pretty good and will do niceely until tomorrow. In case you're wondering how old it is, for some reason it has a turbo button on it, this is just confusing. If you don't know why this is confusing then I don't care.
