So I was wondering, which feature out of the following list would you like to see implemented first?
View most recent comments
Time based editing of own comments by users
Multiple styles and a style switcher
A paypal donate button
RSS feed (this one could take a while)
Preview comment button
Different backgrounds for comments that admins make ::: COMPLETED
Well, that's all I can think of right now, if I come up with anymore I'll let y'all know.

I think you should DEFINITELY add user accounts instead of doing crap like time based user comment editing. It would take a moment to sign up and that would allow all sorts of stuff like profiles, avatars, etc. It would be like a forum, and you could always let people post anonymously if they didn't want to sign up.
Other than that, I don't think you should make it too complicated. Just let's put lots of articles and stuff on the site, because it certainly needs it

It's not a forum, it's a blog. There's no need for user accounts at all. Besides, I can't be bothered creating the database for that.
Anyway, once the blog is armed and dangerous with it's mega-tastic features I might decide to turn it into a forum. One step at a time though eh?

Why Take one step when you can start jogging, turn it into a forum and you never know, you might get a fifth or even a sixth person who makes posts here.
I'd say definately a css switcher. Everybody loves a css switcher when they see 'em. Look at csszengarden, that's yummy-licious. No idea about the RSS feeds though. Not entirely certain of their purpose (nor how to make them myself for that matter actually. I saw some code for one of 'em one time and it looked a little, well..... funky - to say the least).
And am I the only person on earth that has no concept of what a blog actually is or what?
It's not that I don't see the difference, I just don't see the purpose of the difference.
And which came first; the forum or the blog?
Am I making any sense?
I hope so, it's not often I do, so I'm told.

Dave, that admin background is hideous. We need a texture that is only SLIGHTLY different to the normal one so it doesn't look shit.
You just negated it didn't you?

Dave, I don't know whether this is a feature or a bug, I'm just checking, but on the main page, there is a next page link despite the fact that there are only two blogs on that page.

Yeah that's a bug, I'll have a see to it.
I know the background is horrible but I needed something quick because my eyelids were beginning to feel heavy, I just swopped the red and blue colours around in PSP.
Very well, it is decided my the none-sensical Mr. Herer that a style-switcher will be implemented next.
And by the way, the difference between a forum and a blog is that in forums anyone can post threads and edit their posts. Then there are a load of other features such as post counts and stuff which makes forums a lot harder to make .
Oh my God, what have I let myself in for???

Well the admin bg's are now a nice shade of purple.
It's better than the red so if you still don't like it, deal with it.

If you want to spoof as an admin (ie: use Phil or David as your screen name) then you need to log in. Just a handly little feature that I added.

I'll have you know that me ego is perfectly proportioned. I've been doing some amazing coding of late and I might even create a blog about it (for the millions of web-devvers who read this site ).
The latest thing I've done can be found here and it's such a sweet script, sometimes I even surprise myself.
