OK, here's the story.

I am selling my PC to my dear sweet grandmother who wants a better one, it's not a bad PC but it barely runs Doom3 and this will not do! So I'm selling it at the fair price of £250.
Also, someone by the name of Roger Jones owes me £200 for some web-development work I did for him a long long time ago and he still hasn't coughed up but has promised that I will get the money soon. Angry

Anyway, that gave me a budget of £450 to build a new PC. Considering I already have some componants (PSU, case, HDD) and also considering that I can afford to go a little over budget, that means I can build a pretty decent PC.

So I went and priced up a PC from three different websites which came to a total of just under £470. That's not bad, you might say, it was a pretty decent PC aswell, AMD Athlon XP 3200+, 512Mb DDR PC3200, DFI LanParty motherboard and a GeForce 6800 128Mb graphics card.

There was just one problem though. When it comes to PC hardware I lose all forms of self restraint and instead of ordering the good £180 graphics card, I accidentally ordered a £265 graphics card instead.

I also upgraded a couple of other minor things that didn't cost as much, all in all this now means I have gone £124.16 over budget, so as I said before, fuck.

Not only do I now have to rely on my parents inability to understand anything about hardware so that when it arrives I'm not found out, I also have to hide my bank statements AND hope to God that they NEVER see this blog entry (or at least not see it until I'm in Loughborough).

By the way, anyone who posts a message along the lines of, "haha, y0u i5 13ik 707a11y fuck3d!!11!1!" Just remember that my PC, in all likelyhood, pwns yours.

    David -- things are never going to change for me. I doubt my computer will be fixed, either. I think I need a reformat or something. Actually, what I need is a job, so I can have money, so I can fix these things.

    Amazingly whilst getting himself into deep shite, he managed to drag me in as well.
    How you wonder, by somehow getting me to agree to buying the graphics card he bought first time round so he could ultimatly buy the bigger and somewhat better 6800 Ultra OC instead.
